It had only been two years ago since she acquired him, but she had just now decided to go out and explore the world with him. It wasn’t like she could always stay at home by the side of her parents, and that would just make her a burden to them, even if she did earn some money through her own art. Just the thought of going on such an adventure made her think of the opening of doors for her and it brought a small smile to her face. Mnemosyne sheepishly glanced down when he said not to worry and she gave a small nod. She always hated when she began to ramble on and on. Usually she was a silent person, and could easily go for hours without saying a word. Either that or she often found herself fading her words behind those of someone else and then stop talking all together and just letting them continue with their speech. Letting out another nod to him, she glanced at the pichu that was now acting quite silly for the little rodent, and it made her look over at Acrylic, who had finished with his snacks and was now lying sleepily on the table, which made her smile. When he mentioned Acrylic, she reached over and gently lifted the sleepy fire pok?mon and held him in her arms, then turned her attention back to him. “Well um… my parents got me him two years ago for my birthday… and we recently decided to actually go on our journey,” Mnemosyne finally spoke. She seemed to make her voice turn a bit softer now, feeling that she had gotten a bit too loud and out of hand before and needed to calm down. |

“What a coincidence!” he exclaimed with a toothy grin. “Pichu and I are also starting out our own journey.” He looked down at the yellow rodent who stood to watch him quizzically after stripping on himself from dizziness. He patted the pok?mons head and it smiled. “I mean, Pichu isn’t even a year old. He hatched out of his egg the moment I found it and I was the first thing he saw. After that he kept following me around until we finally became pals!” he grinned.
“Pichu!” he called out, confirming what Sato had said.
Sato looked at the woman across the table. “So, just how recently did you start traveling?” He rested his arms over the table and laid his chin over them softly as he glanced at the girl from below. Pichu ran up his head and began to imitate his trainer by propping down on his hair; his little hands supporting his tiny head as he watched Mnemosyne with a warm smile.

[atrb=align,right][atrb=style,width:320,btable][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,border-bottom: 1px solid #707070;] everybody scream your heart out | Smiling widely and sheepishly, Mnemosyne gave a slight nod and responded with, “That’s really awesome!” giggling softly. Her relationship with Acrylic had grown, so she was unable to relate to his relationship with pichu and the fact that he was even a year old. Just looking at the pok?mon though, it made sense now. After all, even though pichu were unpredictable at times, he still shocked Sato and was quite immature opposed to Acrylic, who only had his moments (like growling at pichu when he was trying to get some of the treats that she gave him). She did love her little cyndaquil, but he could be a pain sometimes. Because she lived with him in her household for a while though before deciding to go out on her own, having her mother and father there to help, as well as Bubba and Svetlana in the house, Mnemosyne was prepared for this. She chuckled when pichu agreed with Sato and gave his own two cents, glancing back at Sato when the next question was asked. “Ah… well to be honest, I left this morning. I came down here to get something to eat and then planned to get going and heading out to find more pok?mon and everything.” She smiled sheepishly and pushed hair from her face, glancing down at her lap where her hands were settled holding Acrylic. Her tongue ran over her lips as she wet them from the dryness as she smiled at the sleeping fire pok?mon. She ran her hand over the pok?mon and remembered the few times that Acrylic accidentally burned her. It wasn’t anything too serious and it had scared her when it happened, but she was glad to have such a sweet pok?mon, at how guilty he looked for burning her and trying to apologize over and over frantically. |

“Double coincidence!” He exclaimed, raising his hands in the air frantically and then setting them back down and looking at his surroundings. He was starting to grab attention and people were giggling since it was the same trainer and pok?mon from just a few minutes ago. His eyes dropped to the table and he blushed embarrassed. After getting back together, he glanced up at the girl and spoke in a softer –almost whispering voice and covered his mouth with one hand.
“Even with pok?mon, it can be a bit lonely traveling alone. What would you say if we kept each other company during our travels?” He offered, clearly, he was asking to tag along. They were both beginners and they were just starting –she just seemed to have more experience with her pok?mon, but why not? He thought. He closed his eyes and grinned. Pichu’s lightened up upon hearing the possibility of having a partner.
“Piiichuuu~” he called out, rotating a complete 360 degrees on one foot before falling on his back. Sato chuckled and looked back at the Mnemosyne.
“So, what do you say?” he winks.

[atrb=align,right][atrb=style,width:320,btable][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,border-bottom: 1px solid #707070;] everybody scream your heart out | The giggles coming from the people around them because of her new friend’s antics made her blush slightly, giggling a bit herself as she listened to his “double coincidence” exclamation, causing her to bite her lip shyly and tilt her head at him. She watched as he spoke softer now, seeming to be a bit embarrassed from his outburst, Mnemosyne becoming silent as she listened to him start to speak about travelling alone being a bit lonely. She herself wasn’t sure what to say—she would have Acrylic by her side, so she didn’t really consider herself as travelling alone, but it was an idea that she would actually have a human person to talk to by her side. Petting Acrylic on the back and running her hand along him gently, she thought about the possibility for a moment. She knew that it would add someone else being with her and they would be able to protect each other in times of danger, but she wasn’t exactly sure if that’s what she wanted—especially since she originally thought that her journey would be her way of figuring out if she was ready for the real world of pok?mon. Then again, having someone by her side might make it all for the better, right? After debating it over in her head for several long moments, she glanced back at him only to see the pichu rotate and then fall on his back, causing her to give a little giggle. “Sure, why not,” she smiled, deciding on it finally and feeling that it was probably for the best. She knew that she probably wouldn’t be able to handle everything on her own, and it would be for the best if she had someone there. While she wasn’t used to having people by her side other than her parents in the house, she was curious as to how their little adventures would go. |
