Gym Battles and Catching pok?mon

There are always questions about how sites will work in catching pok?mon or battling gym leaders. There cannot be an overpopulation of certain pok?mon in certain areas (of course unless there is a swarm going on), so we have a simple way to catch pok?mon and battle gym leaders.

To Catch pok?mon:

Each time a pok?mon needs to be caught, a thread for catching a pok?mon must be created. In the title of the thread, please write “(CT)” at the end of the title to stand for “Catching Thread”. Catching threads are short threads that link off of other threads so that trainers may catch or battle pok?mon that they run into. On the thread itself before you start the thread, please write ‘Link off:’ and then a link to the roleplay in which your character encountered this pok?mon in. The pok?mon that they run into are chosen at random and come with a gender and a list of moves that they have. While this isn’t a site that we use levels, it more or less depends on the pok?mon that you use against it.

To request a pok?mon for your catching thread, please post on this thread using this form:

Name: Your name
Character Name: Your character’s name
Link to Thread: [url=threadaddress]here[/url]
Solo/Assist: If you would like someone to play the pok?mon for you in this thread, please write ‘assist,’ and if you would like to have this be a solo catch and just have one of the admin post a pok?mon with a gender and moves while you roleplay the rest, then write ‘solo’.
Area of Catch: Where your character is when they encounter this pok?mon.

To Battle a Gym Leader:

Each time you would like to battle a gym leader, create your board to challenge that gym leader. While you can only have one gym battle going at a time per character, the same goes for those playing gym leaders – gym leaders can only be in one battle thread at a time. This is because we don’t want to put too much pressure on gym leaders for battle threads. At the beginning of the title of the thread, please write “CHALLENGE:” and then at the end in parenthesis, write the name of the gym leader that is being challenged.

To challenge a gym leader, please post on this board using this forum, then proceed to personal message the gym leader about the challenge:

Name: Your name.
