Character Rules 01: Application.
A character application is necessary and characters must be approved before playing them. The application for characters is located on the main board of the application board. There are different forms depending on what kind of character you are creating, so please use the appropriate form and codes that follow. 02: Canons.
Due to the fact that this is an alternate universe site, along with a change of time period, canons are not allowed on this site. Apologies if a site that allows canons is what you were looking for, but we encourage people to branch out and be creative with their own characters!
03: Face Claims.
We request that face claims of anime characters are used. We do not allow real life face claims on this site and would like to keep it consistent with having all anime face claims.
04: pok?mon.
Characters are to start with one pok?mon unless that character is a gym leader or an elite four member. Natives do not obtain pok?mon, but they obtain “companions” that they make friends with. Indigenous people do not have pokeballs of any kind or the technology that those of the industrial island have, so they are unable to catch pok?mon.
Indigenous characters start with one, two, or no companions when they are created (but if too many people create characters with two pok?mon, there will be a ban on this rule), and the pok?mon must be in its first evolution form. For example, your character cannot start out with a poliwhirl as a companion, it must be a poliwag.
05: Accounts.
We do require that you have character accounts. That is: one character per account and multiple accounts if you would like multiple characters. This is mostly for the purpose of organization, as well as being able to customize your character’s posts and the sort. The only people that will have accounts that aren’t characters are the admin, who use them also for organizational purposes such as posting news bulletins and other information that would be strange coming from a character account.

pok?mon Rules: 01: Starters.
Each trainer starts with one pok?mon and your first trainer’s pok?mon must be a starter or an egg pok?mon, not a pok?mon from the other section.
Because this is an alternate universe site, we do have a different set of pok?mon that you can choose from when you create more trainers that is actually a bit more extensive than just the starters from each region. Your trainer is able to choose the pok?mon that they start out with, but the admin may put bans on certain pok?mon if there are too many trainers with that pok?mon running around. pok?mon that are not starters or egg pok?mon that your trainer has cannot be obtained by a professor and must have some sort of backstory to them.
Starters and Egg pok?mon: Other pok?mon: 02: Evolution.
For all pok?mon evolutions, we do have a simple rule. All evolutions must be bought in our shop. This includes evolutions that need stones and other items that are used to evolve, including trading of pok?mon. To evolve pok?mon that need to be traded to evolve, that is not necessary-- pok?mon are allowed to evolve without trading and items that need to be held while trading or held by leveling up will work the same as a stone would.
03: Legendaries.
Characters may not come across legendary pok?mon on a normal basis. The only way that characters come across legendary pok?mon is through events that may happen to your character or throughout the site. Please respect this rule and don't try to sneak anything in. Along with that, there cannot be anything in a character's past about some "meeting with a legendary" or any event of the sort.
04: Shiny pok?mon.
Of course, there are shiny pok?mon running around, but that doesn't mean that everyone gets a shiny. Shiny pok?mon are gotten at random through events or through random encounters, though the latter is a lot more rare. Because the capture threads are regulated by moderators, there will not be a large amount of shiny pok?mon out (though it makes sense because shiny pok?mon are quite rare), but there will be some floating about at random. No starter pok?mon are shiny - be it an egg pok?mon, normal starter, or other.
05: Eye colors.
pok?mon are allowed to have any eye color, but they are not allowed to have heterochromia, or having two completely different iris colors.
06: Odd markings.
Odd markings on pok?mon are also allowed, but please get them pre-approved first so that the admin can tell you if the markings are too over-the-top.
07: Accessories.
Wild pok?mon do not come with accessories and your trainer must put them on that pok?mon. Little accessories on each of a trainer's pok?mon is fine, but please do not use large accessories on each of them and if you have any questions, message and administrator about it.
