Her body had little extra fat or muscle on it, giving off the appearance that she was simply skin and bones. While there was still a little bit of extra muscle, it was just enough to make it look like she wasn’t suffering from anorexia. Pushing a bit of her blue hair from her face, the female, who holds the name of Yana, stepped into the beautiful Panentum Town. The lushness of the area made her smile slightly – it had been a while since she went to visit the professor, but even so, that wasn’t why she was here today.
Originally, Yana had decided to go exploring, but had gotten a letter saying that she was needed to meet new trainers. How many? She wasn’t sure. Could be one – but it also could be twenty. Whenever people told her that she was needed, it often made her wonder what they had in store because some of the assignments that they put her on were a bit out of the ordinary. She could handle them just fine, but it always made her question who thought of these jobs in the first place and why was she the one doing it? They should know that she is the champion after all and shouldn’t have to be running around and talking to beginning trainers and telling her life story to everyone. Those events were kind of private after all, at least in her mind. Though when people start publicizing someone else, nothing stays private about that person.
Pressing her hand against her hip, she slid one finger over the Pokeball that held Bane in. That gengar would only get himself into more trouble than she needed. Maybe this trouble wasn’t necessarily trouble with other people, but in trouble with her. She didn’t need the stress right now, not even sure how old these people would be acting against this twenty-three-year-old, five foot one, female, who was always on the press as a story about what she had done.
The thought caused Yana to only shake her head in hopes that she would come face to face with at least a few sane people instead of someone that would make her lose her mind. Though patience was one quality that she did have that made her think about what they would be like – though too much thinking about rambunctious children would just give her a headache, and they weren’t even here yet.
The small park located in Panentum Town seemed so barren at the moment, waiting for anyone to come and visit it. And that’s where they were all planning to meet. All of… however many trainers may show up, plus Yana. There had been flyers sent around to aspiring trainers or beginning trainers to meet Yana and ask questions. Without much thought to it, Yana’s hand slid across the Pokeballs on her belt and she pulled out the third one, letting Lucifer, her lucario, and seating herself next to him gently on the bench as she glanced around for signs of people coming toward the little park.[/style]

“Champion!? Champion!” Hands over her face, a girl was looking into the mirror in the bathroom of the pok?mon Center. Aurora, the little Cyndaquil out of its ball for today, looked up at her - thinking this human trainer was crazy with the amount of unnecessary stress. Biting her lip, the purple haired girl kept going up and down with her appearance while several others entered, giving strange glances towards her when meeting her.
Wilhelmina’s blue eyes stared into matching blue ones in the mirror. She needed to calm herself down and fast. The white sink soon had water rushing into it as the trainer pushed water onto her face in order to get herself in a sane zone. A couple drops hit Aurora’s head, causing the little fire-type to get angry and nip at her heel for a minute. “Ouch!” her voice cracked a little bit while she turned to see what Cyndaquil was doing. “No fair...” Water dripped off its skin. Biting her lip, the young trainer was in the wrong. Leaning down, she patted its head while a smile and it smiled back. Small problem, quick fix.
As the lengthy as she was, Wilhelmina walked past several beginners like her, mostly in their early teens. Feeling like a giant now, her nerves of meeting the Champion of the region had completely faded right now. The giant shall befriend all these little children, trainers, and pok?mon until they learn to accept the fact. Toddling along behind, the Cyndaquil shook its head - its master being crazier still and there was nothing it could do about it. Save the small nipping at the feet once and awhile.
Once outside, the winds of the beautiful day had made the trees flutter, the bug-type pok?mon to come out, and many of the patrons of Panentum Town. But all the trainers seemed to be concentrating on other things right now. Figured that they would wait until the last possible minute to talk to the Champion! “Gah!” Jumping in spot, Wilhelmina pushed back her purple hair into a ponytail while glancing at a flyer. “I shouldn’t just call her Champion... She’ll think I’m rude!” Almost tripping over her own foot, she recovered barely. Aurora squeaked furiously at her while they walked towards the bulletin board to see the news in town.
White, yet intricate - the flier gave information that all new trainers would need. “Yana!” Wilhelmina jumped while her Cyndaquil kept an eye on her - trying to keep her from making herself look stupid. Her finger traced one of the bullet points. It’s dark red font made perfect sense - location and time. The early bird always gets the worm, even if they should up way too early. And according to the flier, there was still a good half hour before this lady would show up.
Skipping like back in school, she twirled around the area until there was the central park of the town. There seemed to be a few people at the one section. But only one girl at the other. Odd, why were most of the people not coming here. Out of breath, Aurora nipped at Wilhelmina again. It always seemed to happen when she was far too happy she always would leave it a bit further behind.
“YE-OUCH!” The pale girl hollered as she pouted to her pok?mon again. “Can’t you tackle me instead? I’d feel it much quick...” It backed up as she said it. Waving her hands out in front, Wilhelmina kept screaming for Aurora not to. But it was too late. Taking off, it burrowed its head into her stomach - much softer than in a practice fight. The blow managed to get her to her feet and start laughing. “Deserved it.” Aurora nodded while finding someone close by. A nudge towards that direction for her master.
She rubbed the back of her head before taking note. “Come on. They probably don’t care whatcha did.” Rolling her eyes, her body tensed. That bench held the person she wanted to meet all day. Champion Yana!
Keep calm and just make no sudden movements. Breathing started to become heavy and her nerves became amuck again.
Yet that little pok?mon of hers did not listen. Aurora waddled over towards the lady that was sitting at the bench with the Lucario. “Cyndaquil!” It waved with its little hand. All Wilhelmina could do was watch in horror, her outgoing attitude taking the back seat. Even when she was excited for an event like this... well... people of importance would always get her a little... nervous.

[STYLE=text-align:center; font-family: Capsuula; font-size: 89px; margin-bottom: -20px; letter-spacing: 12px; color: #222222;] Happiness[/style] [STYLE=border: solid 10px #a2b1e5; width: 400px;] [atrb=border, 0, true][bg=222222][atrb= width,400,] [STYLE=font-family: capsuula; text-align: center; font-size: 25px;][classy=derpinathecat]straight from the bottle[/style][/classy] [STYLE=font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; margin-left: 3px; margin-right: 3px; color: #575757;] Yana’s mind still dwelled on how many people would show up to the event. She assumed that there wouldn’t be too many people, but with new trainers, it was hard to tell. The population of the town was not very many, but there could always be those people that just want to meet her, which would make her shake her head at the extra attention of the media, as usual. Pursing her lips in slight aggravation, Lucifer gave a snort as he kicked his legs gently from the seated position on the bench, being that his feet didn’t touch the ground.
Unlike the rest, Lucifer was probably the “coolest” of the pok?mon that Yana had, always acting the part of human-like motions, such as putting his hand to his head and shaking his head. It made Yana wonder if other pok?mon picked up on those types of actions. She knew Bane did, at least. There was no words for Bane though, as people always wonder why he was named that in the first place because of his childish and clingy behaviors – the bolt just didn’t fit into the screw; that is, at least until he started battling.
Running her tongue over her lips gently, her head lifted at the loud noises that came from the usually quiet town, causing her to crack a little smile. At least there was some life. Life, huh. The thought made her mind wander to the idea of Bane again, and the story behind the gastly that she had found that scared the life out of her in that tower that her brother dared her to go into. Sixth floor. Pursing her lips, her thoughts were interrupted by the cyndaquil saying its name in front of her and raising an arm. Lucifer’s ears flickered and his head turned toward the trainer of the cyndaquil, whom he could sense was trapped in a pit of nervousness at the moment. He said nothing about it though as his eyes turned back and narrowed on the small fire type in front of them.
“Well hello there,” Yana said with a only a small smile, leaning her small frame down slightly and placing her hand near the pok?mon, then scratching gently under his chin. She sat herself back up straight and pulled back, her own head turning after catching Lucifer turn back toward the cyndaquil almost out of her peripheral vision. She noticed the female, whose long purple hair seemed to stand out against the pale skin. Pushing hair from her face, Yana tucked a lock behind her ear and spoke, “I assume this is your cyndaquil? He seems very friendly,” the small smile still staying on her face. It was enough to say that everything was alright, but she didn’t look full of joy with the situation – one of her content, calm smiles that she often gave people.
After adjusting her position on the bench and bending one leg over the other in her one-strapped black dress, she asked, “I assume you’re one of the people responding to the flyers?” coming to the conclusion because it seemed that the girl only had a cyndaquil, as well as seeming a bit too anxious for everyday situations. She didn’t want to bluntly ask if she was here to see her though, feeling that would be a bit too rude to say in this situation. So, there’s one so far, which made Yana look behind the girl to see if anyone else was there, or if anyone else seemed to be joining them.[/style]

Her Aurora seemed to be doing just fine with the girl that everyone in this fine land looked up towards. Of course, the charismatic pok?mon took after its owner in every way - but the complete nerves that she would get. Go figure!
Shaking her head, Wilhelmina heard a tiny noise for someone. Female, younger, some kind of affection. Her eyes flickered up to Champion Yana as she talked about something. Current words consisted of ‘Blah, this your, blah, friendly, blah blah, flyers.’ Sheepishly, all her head would do was nod in compliance before knocking sense into herself. She could not act this way. Combating the nerves was hard, but she managed to beat them with the power of reason! Laughing, she put her hands on her hips and went into Wilhelmina mode. A mode that she should always be in with everyone, everyday.
Aurora noticed the flint in its owner’s eye and quickly was at her side. Putting her finger straight in front of her with a proud laugh, both trainer and pok?mon made the same movements. And her cyndaquil was in the same excitement, its fire burning brightly behind it. A few people walking scuffled away from this weird girl. And a thumb to the chest, both grinned and Wilhelmina took center stage in introducing herself. “Yes, I come from the flyer, Champion Yana!” She moved her butt a little, like she was dancing but stayed in place. “My hometown isn’t too far from here and I started about a year ago! Aurora and I just finally decided to go for the Elite Four...” Wilhelmina scratched the top of her head. Now, she probably sounded like she was some newbie. “But never mind my status as a trainer...! It is nice to meet you!”
Bowing with its master, Aurora looked over at the Lucario she had. It seemed.... different than all the other pok?mon. Perhaps because it was so close to the trainer it had, it took after it too. It nipped at her owners foot again. Trying to get her to talk more, questions. Stuff like that. Sure, the cyndaquil had no idea what was going on because of looking at the other pok?mon, but it did not mean she could be of any help.
“Oh!” She poked her nose while trying to think of what she was going to ask. Simple question, complex question, obvious questions? Ah, it was so hard to choose! Scrunching her face together, the purple haired girl leaned forward and smiled. “Umm... how long ago did you start training your pok?mon.” Officially the worst question asker, ever. Start off with the one question everyone has to ask. In her mind, she whimpered to a side to sulk in while Wilhelmina on the outside just kept a large smile on her face.

[STYLE=text-align:center; font-family: Capsuula; font-size: 89px; margin-bottom: -20px; letter-spacing: 12px; color: #222222;] Happiness[/style] [STYLE=border: solid 10px #a2b1e5; width: 400px;] [atrb=border, 0, true][bg=222222][atrb= width,400,] [STYLE=font-family: capsuula; text-align: center; font-size: 25px;][classy=derpinathecat]straight from the bottle[/style][/classy] [STYLE=font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; margin-left: 3px; margin-right: 3px; color: #575757;] Yana wondered what was up with this girl. Sure, she assumed that she was at least a little bit excited to meet with Yana as her being the champion and all, but she seemed a bit… skittish for that type of thing. It wasn’t like she was one of those completely new trainers that started at the age of ten and aspired to be just like Yana. That wasn’t how things worked in the first place, though, but Yana admired their exaggeration and enthusiasm in what they tried to achieve. They were always so cute as well when they would bounce around – though annoying one some occasions.
“It’s always a pleasure to meet new trainers, especially to see how they are raising their pok?mon,” replied Yana calmly, noticing the nerves in the other female that seemed to be building up and up until she tried to keep the excitement in, which made Yana’s head shake. Lucifer was still staring at the girl slightly, only for the objects on the back of his head to flick up and down before glancing back at the cyndaquil. His eyes narrowed and then he proceeded to tug on Yana’s dress toward where her side was to get her attention, causing her head to turn toward him and ask what was wrong. She watched his eyes narrow slightly more and she waved him off gently, telling him that everything was okay.
Adjusting her positioning once more, Yana looked back at the new girl, blinking in confusion as she was called “Champion Yana,” which ended in her raising her hands slightly and saying, “Just Yana is okay, no need to add the title,” in a bit of an awkward manner. As she watched the other poke her nose as if trying to think of what to say, she folded her arms and watched her with a mild curiosity.
The question made Yana blink a few more times though. It was such a simple question, when she had expected the girl to spout out some kind of long, drawn out question that would take Yana at least a few minutes to answer. “I’ve been training for about seven years, currently,” she replied simply, giving a small smile as she watched the expression on the trainer’s face. Lucifer turned his attention back to the other two when the conversation started up once again, not wanting to be left out of something like this, even if it was simple.
Yana then added, “While I’ve had a gastly for longer, when he became a gengar when I was sixteen, that was when I actually started training and when my father allowed me to go out.” The answer was simple and that was all that she would leave it at, not wanting to get too carried away with herself with subjects that Wilhelmina didn’t ask about.[/style]
